Starting from the starting point at the Ringerhalde or in the Zellerfeld Valley, well-trained cross-country skiers can also train in the evening hours on the illuminated trail.

The 5.5 km long loop can be divided into different sections. Variations of the loop are possible, for example 800 m; 1.5 km; 1.7 km or 2.3 km. This trail is a very hilly route. It requires a lot of endurance as the trail runs uphill or flat in many sections. Furthermore, good skiing skills are an advantage. The special feature of this trail is that it is a skating track.

DSV Premium Trail
This trail is a certified DSV Premium Trail.
Together with municipalities in West Harz and the districts of Goslar and Osterode am Harz, the Safety in Skiing Foundation (SIS) and the German Ski Association (DSV) have worked in recent years for qualitative development of the trail network in the Harz. The trails have been certified as DSV nordic active centers according to international criteria, marked with a uniform system, and equipped with information boards.
