Directions

In Bad Lauterberg, we follow the main street towards Barbis (signposted Scharzfeld/Herzberg). In Barbis, we turn left onto the B243 and follow it through Bartolfelde, Osterhagen to Nüxei. Shortly after the Nüxei town exit sign, we turn left to Tettenborn. In Tettenborn, we continue straight and follow the road to Klettenberg, then 300 m after the town sign, we turn to Branderode. In Branderode, we follow the main road to the right, following signs to Obersachswerfen, and from there to Walkenried. At the Walkenried town exit, we keep right towards Ellrich, where we leave the Vorharz and follow the signs to Zorge/Hohegeiß. In the center of Zorge, we turn left towards Braunlage. There follows a very rhythmically rideable climb called “Nullpunkt,” through which we enter the Upper Harz. Upon arrival in Braunlage, we turn left in the town center and follow the signs back to Bad Lauterberg. After a few “residual waves” behind Braunlage town exit, there is a very nice descent through the Odertal, past the Oder reservoir, back to our starting point.
