Moderate route with a nice single-trail section with a more demanding ascent to the Großer Knollen. From there, a fast descent over meadows and fields. At the end of the tour, a detour to the Stone Church near Scharzfeld is worthwhile, an impressive medieval cave that is considered the oldest church in the Harz.
