The route leads over viewpoints through the deciduous and mixed forests of the southern Harz.

Half-day route with longer and in places also steeper climbs. The observation tower on Großer Knollen offers a view over the Harz mountains and far into Eichsfeld and Thuringia. From there, a beautiful trail leads back down to the valley.

The Barbis train station (Bad Lauterberg district) is approx. 5.5 km from the east-located town center and the tourist information in the spa park. There you can access the four MTB routes BL1 to BL4.
