Directions

From the starting point, we use the hiking path between the house and the Bode, staying on the path towards the Trageburg archaeological site with stamp point 52 and a magnificent view of the reservoir. We begin to follow the red triangle trail marker. Arriving at the lower large Mühlental, keeping left, we meet the Harz-Hexen-Stieg.

After about 500 m, we reach the Trageburg. You are welcome to pause for a moment here. An information board gives us insight into the history of the Trageburg.

Further, we continue on the Harz-Hexen-Stieg towards the Rappbode Vorsperre/Königshütte.

Upon reaching the dam, we enjoy a beautiful view over the reservoir.

After crossing the dam, keep left following the green dot trail marker for about 1 km along the shore.

Arriving at a forest road junction, we cross a bridge on the left and follow the green dot towards Trautenstein back to the starting point at the community centre square.
