Our hiking route around Lerbach shows many different facets of the Harz.
Relax from the stressful everyday life in the nature of the Harz. Our starting point leads directly into a beautifully situated beech forest in Lerbach.
Then you continue hiking to the observation tower Kuckholzklippe. From there you have a beautiful view of the Harz and the Harz Foreland.

Directions
The hiking route starts at the fire station opposite Liethweg. 50 m from the main road, a small narrow path branches off that leads directly into a beech forest.
Following the path, we come to Sommerbergweg. We follow its course to the right until after about 400 m we reach a small sign for Lerbach iron ore mines. We continue hiking to the observation tower Kuckholzklippe. From there the path leads over Clausberg directly to the forest swimming pool restaurant. Then it goes up to Marienblick. Following the Harzer Hexen-Stieg to the Schafmeistertal junction, you return directly to the starting point.
Equipment
For the hike, sturdy footwear is recommended.
Directions & Parking facilities
Follow the B241 towards Clausthal-Zellerfeld. Then turn right onto Obere Harzstraße. Immediately turn left to stay on Obere Harzstraße. It leads into Liethweg.
Take bus connection 440 from the Osterode-Mitte/Stadthalle station, which leads directly (15 min) to Liethweg in Lerbach.
