The Beerberg - open-air museum of mining history
Guests get the opportunity to get acquainted with the history of the earth and the evidence of the montane.  A "geological-mining-historical circular hiking trail" was signposted in 1988. Hidden in the forest we find a real open-air museum. Here at the Beerberg was the place where the first really rich silver ores were discovered in 1520 in a vein that was striking out to the surface. On a circular trail of about 2 km, the hiker learns exciting and interesting facts at the 39 yellow boards in the shape of a stylized fir tree ("Dennert board"). A leaflet is available at the tourist information office or at the mining museum.
