The Harz was one of the largest mining regions in Europe for several hundred years. Today, you can still see a lot from the mining era in this landscape. Many remains from the mining era belong to the UNESCO World Heritage in the Harz and are under special protection.
On this e-bike route, you'll ride through a wonderful landscape and pass splendid sights from the mining era.
The bike route is 68 kilometers long. The starting point is the parking lot at OutdoorCenter Harz (Altenauer Street 55, 38678 Clausthal-Zellerfeld). You can also rent e-bikes here.
The route takes approximately 6 to 8 hours. It is varied and very well suited for e-bikes.

Directions
On the way, you'll pass the Hirschler-Pfauenteich Cascade. From here, you ride steeply uphill to Bruchberg and the Wolfswarte. Next, the route leads along the Oderteich to Sankt Andreasberg. A highlight of this route is the Samson mine in Sankt Andreasberg. Definitely visit! Afterwards, the route goes past Bad Lauterberg and Bad Sachsa to the Cistercian Museum Walkenried Monastery. The route ends there.
