The easiest section lies ahead of you, from the Hochharz to the northern edge of the Harz.

From Gelber Brink, it mostly goes downhill on well-drivable paths through the famous Ilse valley. Afterwards, you pass through Ilsenburg and continue along the northern edge of the Harz to Jungborn. Here in the Eckertal, very close to the former East-West German border, the first and largest naturopathic clinic in Germany was located at the beginning of the 20th century.
