The route leads from the eastern edge of the High Harz up to the Brocken.

The challenging circular route ascends moderately via Brockenkinder, Brockenbett, and Heinrichshöhe to the Brocken. From the top, the route mostly descends via the Kleine Brocken to the Hermansklippe, marking the halfway point of the route. Past the Ohrenklippen (left of the route) and the Hohneklippen (right), it returns to the starting point.

Directions & Parking facilities

The Drei Annen Hohne station (Harz narrow-gauge railway) is about 6 km outside Schierke towards Wernigerode. It is the starting point for the two MTB routes W8 and W9. Another MTB route starts at the end of Brockenstraße (W10). All three lead into the Harz National Park.
