Directions
The starting point of this hike is the hiking trail signpost tree at the Stecklenberg church. Following the signposting »Friedrichsbrunn« (green triangle), the path first leads uphill along Wurmtal Street to the Naturfreundehaus at the edge of the village. Now follow the course of the Wurm stream until at the upper end of the Wurmtal meadow the path forks. For a detour to the ruins of Lauenburg, about 500 meters away, take the path that leads left over the Wurm stream. The actual route to Friedrichsbrunn continues straight ahead and is still marked with the green triangle.
On well-developed forest paths, you will reach and cross Jagdhausstraße (red square), from which you immediately turn left again over the Mailaubenkopf to the road to Friedrichsbrunn. Continue on the hiking trail parallel to the road until the entrance to Friedrichsbrunn, where you turn right onto Schreiberring. Turn left via Schreiberstraße to reach Friedrichsbrunn main street, which leads you downhill to the tourist information in the village center. Here you will also find the central hiking trail signpost tree and the bus stop.
