- Start: Marktstraße 2, 06485 Quedlinburg OT Gernrode
- Destination: Marktstraße 2, 06485 Quedlinburg OT Gernrode
The route leads past 6 1/2 ponds, whose water once powered water mills, stamp mills, hammer mills, water art, mechanical mining devices, and more.
 ---------------------------------------------------------------------
Start is at Gernrode town hall. From there, head east through Marktstraße. At the pedestrian crossing, turn right into Osterallee and follow it to the end. After crossing the Wellbach (small bridge), turn right onto the forest path and walk along the Osterteich to the end of the pond. There, turn right, passing the lawn and playground, onto the forest path through Ostergrund (green cross). From here go now - past Heiligen Teich - up to the Sternhaus-Haferfeld stop (HSB), continuously uphill. At the level of the stop, the path runs directly to the road to Harzgerode. Shortly before the street (about 10m), a game trail turns left into the forest (signpost: Sternhaus 1.0 km). Unfortunately, there is no further signage until shortly before Sternhaus... Follow the game trail, which initially runs parallel to the road. At a green gate, turn left, after about 40m turn right onto a little-used forest road continuing towards Sternhaus. At Sternhaus, cross the street and continue the hike on trail 43B (green cross, Bear Trail). At Spiegelshaus, the path turns left (still 43B, green cross) and soon reaches the dam of Bremer Teich. At the end of the dam is stamp point no. 196. Now the pond is circled. After the circuit, walk about 400m on the access road to the lake northwards (green bar) and then turn left onto Lange Allee. At the end of the avenue, turn right towards Hagental: Neuer Teich – Spinne – Mensingteich (green square, R3). In Gernrode, on the way to the town hall, you pass Hagenteich and the small Spittelteich (streets: Im Hagen – Am Spittelteich – Klosterstraße).
