It leads from the entrance over the meadows and then along the forest edge. Here you have a wonderful view towards Wurmberg and the Brocken. Here you also have the possibility to switch to the Hühnerbalzloipe or the practice track. After a small descent, it goes slightly uphill over the meadows. At the junction, the track turns right. Here you can switch to the Allerbachloipe. The Wiesenloipe continues along the forest edge, then turns right. The path leads over the meadows and through an adjoining forest section back to the starting point.

You can reach Tanne by car:
- from the direction of Wernigerode via the B244, turn-off Elbingerode B27, continue to the turn-off Königshütte L98 towards Tanne
- from the direction of Braunlage via the B242, towards Tanne
- from the direction of Nordhausen via the B4 to the turn-off L98 Benneckenstein towards Tanne
You can reach the Harz town Tanne by bus from the Harzer Verkehrsbetriebe:
- from the direction of Wernigerode
