Directions
Our route starts in the north-eastern part of Bad Harzburg at Sonnenhof, where we follow the road down to Westerode and after 400 m turn right into Streuerkamp towards the hockey field. We first follow a dirt path before going left around the forest after another 600 m. At the next two junctions, we keep right. After a total of 1.6 km (at the next junction) we turn left towards the sports field and follow the path to the main road, which leads us to Westerode. Upon arrival, we turn right onto Maschweg following a bend in priority (3.1 km). At its end, we turn right onto the bike path. We reach Bettingerode and follow the village road past the church until after a 90° turn we turn left towards Harlingerode / Goslar / motorway. Shortly afterwards we reach a large barn where we turn right onto a paved dirt road. We follow this until it ends, turn left to the motorway and cross the bridge. After a short stretch on the road to Vienenburg, we turn right onto a paved dirt road as soon as possible. We follow the path to the end. We have to cross the road from Vienenburg to Lochtum. At the next main road, we turn right and then left again when a sign points the way to the restaurant Kuhstall. On this path, we reach a paved road just before Wiedelah. We now have to go through the village to the main road where we turn left towards Vienenburg. The route continues straight into Vienenburg. Passing two gas stations, we follow the road. At the town hall (before the railway crossing), we turn left into Lierestraße. We follow it straight until we have to turn right in front of a gravel pit (16.9 km). Then left again. At kilometer 17.7, we take the first path to the left that is not blocked by stones, behind the gravel pits again left, over a bridge and then right before the motorway. We follow this path to the road, then turn left uphill, under the motorway and at the next opportunity turn right onto a paved dirt road, at the end of which we turn right to Westerode. If we now turn left, straight ahead and then half right onto a dirt path, we go under the former Bad Harzburg – Ilsenburg railway line and shortly afterwards reach the starting point at Sonnenhof.
