Simple pleasant healing climate hiking route through the forests of Hahnenklee.

Through the spa park, the route goes past the "Großer Kranicher Teich" to the forest lake bath. Via Gottlob Platz, the hike leads through the high spruce forest, past the holiday park to the "Oberförster-Hermann-Müller-Denkmal."

Directions

Start your hike at the meeting point at the Kurhaus and walk through the spa park to the rear part of the "Großer Kranicher Teich." There, continue straight along the path towards the "Kuttelbacher Teich." Shortly after the entrance to the "Waldseebad," turn right onto the "Alte Harzstraße" and follow it slightly uphill for about 500 m to the "Gottlob Platz." Turn right again here and after a few meters at the subsequent fork, take the left branch. At the end of the incline (7 – 10%), keep right and then follow the former "Fastweg" or today's "Hahnenkleer Bergstraße" for about 3 km. This leads you through the high spruce forest, past the holiday park to the "Oberförster-Hermann-Müller-Denkmal." Via the right-turning path with the same name, you reach the town center of Hahnenklee after about 2 km.
