Directions
The panorama route starts at the market square and leads through the old town southwards towards Rammelsberg. From there you travel over the Blauer Haufen and along the Geological Hiking Trail on asphalt past the Vocational Training Centre until you reach the Ammental Forest House. Here, continue straight ahead on a forest path (gravel) and at the fork take the right path uphill. From there you face a steady climb. At the second divergence turn right and at the next fork keep left. At Gelmkeberg, the route passes the Brautstein towards Auerhahnplatz and from there uphill past Dicken Kopf, the highest point of the route. At Brockenblick, continue on to Waldschrathütte, and from there continue towards Rammseck. Following the old Windeweg downhill, you reach Maltermeister Tower, then return via the Blauer Haufen back to the market square.
