Directions

We leave our starting point Aschersleben via the B185 towards town Falkenstein/Harz. Initially, via Meisdorf/Sommerhaus, we ride through the Selke valley and then into the first climb of the tour towards Gartenhaus. From here, it continues hilly over Parsfelde towards Leinemühle, over the large Johnsberg, to Tilkkerode. Continuing to Stangerode, Alterode, to Harkerode, we make a loop through the eastern Vorharz via Ulzingerode, Wiederode, Neuplatendorf, Endorf, Welbsleben back to Harkerode.

Via Sylda, Willerode, Ritterode we climb up to Greifenhagen. At the T-junction of the B242, we briefly follow it to turn left down to Biesenrode and Vattenrode. Heading towards Wimmelrode, past Hutberg and Großen Küchenberg, we now gain altitude again. Continuing through Piskaborn to Gorenzen, we descend. In Gorenzen, we leave the main road and climb uphill via Dorfstraße into the forest towards Pferdeköpfe.

Arriving there, shortly after, we reach the road between Wippra and Grillenberg and turn left to Grillenberg. We continue over Obersdorf, Gonna, and Taubenberg (a district of Sangerhausen), to overcome the next counter climb after Lengefeld.

After passing Meuserlengefeld and Großleinungen, there comes an approximately 10 km long climb to Stuhlberg. After leaving Morungen behind, we turn left towards Hayn. Gradually, the gradient increases and intermittently reaches about 7% until reaching the relatively unspectacular highest point in the middle of the forest.
The next place is Horla, and we continue over hilly terrain via Rotha, Wolfsberg, Hayn, and Strassberg to Silberhütte. There, we keep right in the village center and ride through Neudorf and Dankerode to Königerode, cross the B242, and eventually reach Schielo.

Continuing via Harzgerode and Mägdesprung, we follow B185 to Ballenstedt. Here, we follow signs to Hoym to take the B6 back to our starting point in Aschersleben.
