Directions

The starting point is the train station in Quedlinburg. From here, the route leads via Rathenaustraße onto the B6 heading towards Morgenrot/Hoym. After Morgenrot we leave the B6 to the right and travel via Badeborn and Asmusstedt to Ballenstedt. Upon reaching the center of Ballenstedt, we leave the roundabout at the third exit and follow Marienstraße and later turn right onto Wallstraße towards Opperode. At the outskirts of Opperode, turn right towards Meisdorf/Sommerhaus. Initially, traveling through the Selke valley, we enter the first climb of the tour towards Gartenhaus.

From here, it continues hilly via Parsfelde towards Leinemühle, over the large Johnsberg through Molmerswende to Schielo. We follow the signs to Harzgerode where we turn left onto the B242 at the town entrance. At Kirchenholz, we leave the B242 again and follow the road through Neudorf and Silberhütte to Strassberg. There, we follow the signs to Siptenfelde; in the town center, turn left and cross the Fitzgeröder Heimberg to Günthersberge.

In Günthersberge, we keep to the right, following the road towards Friedrichsbrunn. However, before that, we turn left in Bärenrode and go via Allrode to Treseburg. From here, a 3 km long rhythmically ridden ascent to the Roßtrappe begins. The following descent leads us to Thale.

From Thale, we follow the signs towards Friedrichsbrunn. Already in Thale at the intersection of Obersteigerweg/Eisenbahnstraße begins the 4.4 km long ascent over the Hexentanzplatz. Here the slope is not yet over. It continues with a maximum of 6% gradient to Friedrichsbrunn.

Having reached the highest point of the tour, the route leads us via a beautiful descent to Bad Suderode and then flat on through Stecklenberg, Neinstedt, Weddersleben and Warnstedt back to our starting point in Quedlinburg.
