  • Start: Central parking lot Bleichestelle, Scheerenberger Straße, 37520 Osterode am Harz. Entry also possible in Riefensbeek and Buntenbock.

The route leads from the southwestern edge of the Harz to the Clausthal plateau.

Moderate difficulty route with a long gravel ascent towards Buntenbock. From there, it goes along many ponds and ditches (now a World Heritage Site), which also include beautiful single-trail sections. From the Huttaler Widerwaage, it then continues downhill to the Söse reservoir and back to the starting point.

Directions & Parking facilities

From the Osterode-Mitte train stop, it goes about 1.5 km east through the old town towards Freiheit. On the other side of the Söse at the large "Bleichestelle" parking lot, it goes onto the three MTB routes OS1, OS2, and OS3.
