  • Start: Central parking lot Bleichestelle, Scheerenberger Straße, 37520 Osterode am Harz. Entry also possible in Riefensbeek.

The route leads from the southwestern edge of the Harz up to the ridge 'Auf dem Acker'

The difficult round leads past the Söse reservoir through the deciduous forests at the edge of the Harz. Then it goes steeply and long up to the Hanskühnenburg (observation tower) and continues on a gravel road on the Acker to the Stieglitzecke. From here it goes down to Riefensbeek and over a last hill via Freiheit back to the starting point.

Directions & Parking facilities

From the Osterode-Mitte train stop, you go about 1.5 km eastwards through the old town towards Freiheit. On the other side of the Söse at the large parking lot “Bleichestelle” you join the three MTB routes OS1, OS2, and OS3.
