Directions
From Blochhauer, the central hiking point and start of many hiking trails, the circular hiking trail starts towards Ilsestein. Once there, the climb to the cross should not be missed, from where you have a beautiful view of the Brocken and on Ilsenburg. Here the Ilsestein rest stop invites you to linger. Continuing towards Plessenburg, past the Paternoster cliffs, the route goes over the Lower Gebbertsberg to the Ilse waterfalls. The return path leads to the Zanthierplatz beneath the Ilsestein.
