Passing the "Gate of Love" you reach the Auerhahn and from there continue to the Schalker Tower. Here is stamp point no. 125 of the Harz Hiking Badge. From the upper platform of the tower there is an impressive view. Via the Upper Schalker Ditch – a historic hillside ditch of the Upper Harz water management, which carried the mine water from the south slope of the Schalke over a length of 8980 meters into the pits of Hahnenklee – you reach the Großer Kellerhalsteich.

Via the Upper Schalker Ditch – a historic hillside ditch of the Upper Harz water management, which carried the mine water from the south slope of the Schalke over a length of 8980 meters into the pits of Hahnenklee – you reach the Großer Kellerhalsteich. Follow the hiking trail 5G, which after crossing the B241 takes you to Kreuzeck. Pass the dam of the Upper Grumbacher Pond and continue along the path 5G/Blue Cross until you arrive back at
your starting point – the Stabkirche – again.
