Halberstadt village life

The start is Spiegelsberge station in Halberstadt, which has a direct connection to the Aller-Harz cycling route.

You follow the Aller-Harz cycling route for 5 km through the Spiegelsberge.

At the Thekenbergen, you then turn left onto a path that leads you directly to the Zwieberge memorial site.

From the functional building of the Langenstein Zwieberge memorial, you continue to the entrance of Langenstein - 2.5 km

In Langenstein, you go along Quedlinburg street past the Schäferhof country hotel to the exit of Langenstein.

Then you cross the railway line and B 81 and reach Böhnhause - 2 km

At the roundabout, take the first exit, cross the L 82 and ride to the Mahndorf field barn. - 2.4 km

Here you leave the paved road and turn left onto a cobblestone path. This leads to the Mahndorf estate park. Over a footbridge, you reach the village of Mahndorf. - 0.6 km

From Mahndorf, the route follows K 1324 to the chess village Ströbeck. - 3 km

About 0.5 km behind the village exit sign, a concrete path branches off to the left. You follow this to Athenstedt. - 3 km

North of Athenstedt, a concrete path leads to Aspenstedt. - 3 km

Above Aspenstedt, a concrete path passes the orchards to Sargstedt. - 5 km

In Sargstedt, you ride along the main street and then turn left onto Schwanebecker Weg.

You follow this to the first intersection, where you turn right onto a field path.

You follow the field path for 3 km until you reach a fork where you turn left and continue to Klein Quenstedt.

In Klein Quenstedt, you go over the Trift, Dorfstraße, Fahrt, and Kirchstraße to the village exit on Hohen Weg. You do not follow this but turn shortly before right onto a field path that leads you directly to Wehrstedt.

In Wehrstedt, you turn left at the first intersection and ride along Halberstädter See via the B245 to Emersleben.

In Emersleben, you turn right from Gartenstraße into Bruchweg, which leads you straight over the B81 to Wegeleben.

In Wegeleben, you turn right immediately after the village entrance sign onto a field path, which you follow to a fork.

There, you turn left onto the next field path that takes you to Harsleben.

In Harsleben, you go onto the B 79.

Now you follow B 79 to the intersection: Am Sülzegraben and Rudolf-Diesel-Straße and turn left there. From there, you go straight ahead to Westerhäuser Straße.

Arriving there, you turn right over the railway tracks and then immediately left and reach Spiegelsberge station again.

via B 79 from the directions of Wolfenbüttel and Quedlinburg

via B 81 from the Magdeburg direction

via A 36 and B 79 from the directions of Braunschweig, Goslar, Halle

You can reach Halberstadt by train from Magdeburg, Halle, or Thale (Abellio)
