Lampertsberg is located south of Hohegeiß and offers the opportunity for a circular hike on forest roads that are suitable for strollers but not paved. This route has moderate ascent with some spots offering a particularly beautiful view of Hohegeiß.
It can also be hiked in winter if you are not using a stroller.

Bus line 470 VSN from Braunlage (where various bus lines meet) to Hohegeiß, stop within the town: "Müllers Hotel", from there 500 m walk to the starting point.
Arrival by train:
- From the south: via Walkenried station or Bad Sachsa station. Direct transfer there to bus line 470 towards Braunlage.
- From the north: via Bad Harzburg station; from there bus line 820 KVG. Via Wernigerode station: line 264 HVB. Both to Braunlage central bus station, where you transfer to bus line 470 VSN towards Hohegeiß.
