The cross-country track leads from Hasselfelde across open areas through a mixed forest and continues to the Radeweghaus. There is a snack opportunity with parking here.
The track continues for about 4 km to the Carlshausturm. Just before the Carlshausturm, skiers face a steep ascent of about 170 m.

You can reach Hasselfelde by car
- via the B 81 from Nordhausen - from Wernigerode via the B244, at Elbingerode take the B27 turnoff towards Rübeland, then the L96 turnoff towards Rappbodetalsperre, then the B81 turnoff to Hasselfelde
- from Güntersberge / Stiege via the B242
- from Braunlage / Tanne via the B242
You can reach the Harz town of Hasselfelde by bus from the Harzer Verkehrsbetriebe:
from Wernigerode and Allrode
from Halberstadt / Blankenburg
from Benneckenstein
or
by the Harzer Schmalspurbahn.
