This short hike for the whole family begins directly in the town center. You walk along the ski slope to the Loipentor, where after less than a kilometer you are rewarded with the first view over the town. The route continues along the edge of town until you reach the mountain meadows at Hasselkopf and one of Braunlage’s most beautiful viewpoints, the Adamsblick. Enjoy the view of the Wurmberg, the course of the former inner-German border, and the Achtermannshöhe!
The return path of the route leads you along the main shopping street past numerous shops and dining options back to the starting point. It is also suitable for a shopping stroll.

Directions
You follow the signage of Route 2 from the starting point towards the ski slope to the Loipentor. From there, you take the Brockenumgehung of the Harzer-Hexen-Stieg towards the sports field and youth hostel. Once there, you are above the arnica meadows and follow the marked path towards the cemetery and Meilerplatz. Along the way, you cross the federal road at the outskirts of Braunlage. When you reach Meilerplatz, head towards Adamsblick. From there, go towards the town center, along Braunlage’s main shopping street, past shops, restaurants, and cafés, back to the center and the starting point of the route.
During the entire round, you have the option to shorten the route by turning towards the town center.
