7th stage Great Adventure Bike Tour: Nordhausen - Sondershausen

First, the route takes you to the Möwensee near Bielen, where you get impressive views of the Goldene Aue and the Windleite behind it. It continues on a gravel path and then on a small road to Heringen. The castle there is worth visiting, as is the inn "Kaffeemühle" in the next small village, Hamma. Then the route continues on a bike path beside the road to Auleben. From there, you start the strenuous climb to the Windleite. You are rewarded at the "Schöne Aussicht" viewing and rest point with a sensational view of the entire Harz, the Kyffhäuser Mountains, and the Goldene Aue. After another short ascent, you reach the Pfaffenteich. From there, the route then goes slightly downhill to Sondershausen, the stage destination.
