From Sankt Andreasberg you ride into the Harz National Park and the highest areas of the Harz.

A physically demanding section lies ahead. After the descent down into the Odertal, the route climbs again immediately; in Braunlage you briefly ride downhill again before the 4 km steep ascent to the Wurmberg lies ahead of you. At the top, the magnificent view in all directions makes up for your effort.
