The route leads from the eastern edge of the High Harz into the mountains of the High Harz.

Challenging mountain-valley route through the spruce forests into the high elevations of the eastern Harz. From Drei Annen Hohne, the route goes up the north side of the Hohnekamm to Molkenhausstern and then around the Zeterklippen, which mark the highest part of the route and offer great viewpoints. Returning on the south side of the Hohnekamm, it is almost all downhill to Trudenstein and back to the starting point.

Directions & Parking facilities

The Drei Annen Hohne station (Harzer Schmalspurbahn) is about 6 km outside of Schierke in the direction of Wernigerode. It is the starting point for the two MTB routes W8 and W9. Another MTB route begins at the end of Brockenstraße (W10). All three lead into the Harz National Park.
