Directions

Start at Kirchwiese
- Crossing the B27
- continue towards the Barenberg viewpoint (stamp station Harzer Wandernadel, view of Elendstal/Elend)
- Continue over Barenberg towards Scharcherklippen (Goethe/Faust/ stamp station Harzer Wandernadel)
- Continue straight to Schnarcherstraße, turn right, then after about 250 m turn left towards Scherstorklippen
- from the shelter, follow the "Kolonnenweg" to the right (approx. 300 m)
- then keep left towards Hexenritt/Kaffeehorst
- follow the signs towards "Kaffeehorst"
- "Border crossing" (stamp station Harzer Wandernadel)
- HEXENRITT refreshment point
- back to the "Harzer Grenzweg"/"Grünes Band"
- follow the Grenzweg to the B27/memorial "Deutsche Teilung"
- then continue on the "Harzer Hexenstieg" (Brockenumgehung) towards Elend

- at the beginning, a steep ascent to Barenberg
- on the section "Harzer Grenzweg"/"Grünes Band" there are still concrete slab plates laid out, please be careful when walking...
