The route leads through mixed and spruce forests on great single-trails through the Upper Harz landscape.

Demanding mountain-valley route with a steep descent to Wildemann. This is followed by frequent changes between single-trail and gravel paths in the Innerste valley. Some sections require solid riding technique. From Lautenthal to Bockwiese there are steeper climbs. However, at the top you are repeatedly rewarded with great views of the Upper Harz. The path from Kreuzeck to Spiegelthal is somewhat more technically demanding as it is quite steep. At the end of the route, from the Bockswieser Höhe you get a great panorama of the Hochharz with Brocken and of the Upper Harz with Bocksberg and Schalke.
