The Luchstour, symbolized by the lynx head, leads through the Harz National Park. The start of the approximately 16.6 kilometer circular hiking route is the Bad Harzburg hiking meeting point in the Kurpark. The pure hiking time for the moderate route should be estimated at over five hours. Guided by the lynx head on wooden posts or under the signage of the National Park, the recommended path leads clockwise over the B4 bridge via the Herzogweg to Antoniusplatz on the Burgberg. Those who want to avoid the first steep ascent can take the Burgberg cable car to the plateau and follow the lynx to Antoniusplatz.
On the contemplation path, continue via Säperstelle to the Cross of the German East, where a wonderful view can be enjoyed from a bench. The route then leads to the forest inn Rabenklippe, where you can refresh yourself. There, the lynxes can finally be admired in the nearby outdoor enclosure.
After bidding farewell to the tufted ears, the descent into Eckertal follows. Along the Ecker, the former inner-German border, the Ahlburg is reached. The trail continues to the ascent (Braunschweiger Weg) to Molkenhaus. There is a forest swing by the Hasselteich for special relaxation. Refreshments are available at the forest inn Molkenhaus. The return path to Bad Harzburg passes the Ettersklippen via the old Molkenhauschaussee to Philosophenbach in the Kaltes Tal. Along the high ropes course, the route leads back over the B4 bridge into the Kurpark.
