A huge rock needle marks the main entrance to the “König-Hübich Route”: the Hübichenstein. The circular route offers various views into the five valleys of Bad Grund. It connects many cultural and natural sights such as museums or the water hiking trail to the Knesebeck mine (UNESCO World Heritage Upper Harz Water Management) with the water tunnel and the widely visible hydrocompressor tower. Kneipp water treading basins with clear mountain water provide cooling and stimulation of blood circulation. Another highlight is the Harz World Forest. As an arboretum, it offers a variety of trees from four continents, particularly colorful in spring and autumn.

Directions
The starting point is the Hübichenstein heading towards Teufelstal. Below the Harz high road to the right is the Iberg settlement with two rows of houses listed as historical monuments, which shape the slope below the Iberg in their construction style. The path continues along the slope of the Iberg, Bad Grund's mountain of fate. On the Iberg is a lookout tower offering views of the Brocken and the Harz foreland. The forest guesthouse Iberger Albertturm invites you to a snowball fight even in summer. The route passes the spa tunnel for respiratory diseases, a therapy only possible here in northern Germany. Straight ahead leads to the Cave Experience Center with the Iberg dripstone cave. However, before the Fairytale Valley, the path turns right and leads via Paradise Path to Rohland. Shortly before the "Forest Corner," the route meets the water hiking trail (signs explain the underground utilization of water power). At the Squirrel Place, turn right to the Mining Museum and Clock Museum, the path then leads left to Laubhütte. Before ascending the Gittelde mountain, there is a possibility to practice water treading above in the Eichelbach valley. Along the Green Fir, the path finally turns left towards Kelchtal. Beyond the water treading place, the path either goes through the Harz World Forest with a great diversity of plant species or directly back to the starting point.
