Immediately after the underpass, turn left and follow the path to the lookout tower. The Seweckenwarte is a medieval watchtower that was converted into a lookout tower after the reunification. The ascent is via a spiral staircase made of metal grid steps. At the top, you have a very beautiful panoramic view over the Harz foothills, the Harz mountains, and the town of Quedlinburg.
