Directions
Follow the signposting No. 4 on the red flower petal.
The starting point is at the path junction behind the Großes Schloss. The best way to get there is to park at Schnappelberg and walk the Chestnut Alley through the castle park towards Großes Schloss.
The first information board is located here. You first walk along the wide "Herzogsweg" through the beech forest and learn a lot of interesting facts about the forest. Turning right, you leave the Herzogsweg and reach the Schieferberg at the water hut, which you follow downhill towards the town. Opposite the "Pension & Café Benz," the small walk leads conveniently right on the street back to the Großes Schloss.
