Directions

You start from the castle park in Elbingerode towards the market. At the intersection, turn right onto the side street towards the roundabout. Continue alongside the B27 towards Rübeland. After the roundabout, cross to the other side of the street and continue on the pedestrian and bike path until you leave the town. At the end of the town, cross the street again and continue on the bike path on the right side. On this section, there are two small wooden bridges that you will cross. Please be cautious! The bridges can be slippery when wet, rainy, or frosty, so cross them slowly and with utmost caution. At the former visitor mine in Mühletal, cross the street again and then continue to the cave town of Rübeland.
